Description: Here is another trick to impress all of your friends with. All you need is a plastic bag, a balloon and a hat, I’m sure you have those in your cupboard right now! Don’t be surprised if you start to get called a wizard, I mean not everyone knows how to make things float in the air! Why not turn it into a game with friends and see who can keep theirs afloat the longest? ⭕MATERIALS: - Sandwich (or other plastic) bag - Scissors - Hat (Or another piece of material made of wool. You could even use your hair!) - Balloon ⭕INSTRUCTIONS: (1) Firstly, taking your plastic bag, use the scissors to cut a strip. Make sure this is from the open end of the bag. (2) Now you have your hoop, get your hat and rub the balloon on it for around 30 seconds. (3) Also rub your hoop on the hat for a short amount of time (4) Holding your balloon in one hand, lift the hoop above the balloon and let go (5) Now watch your hoop fly and float around. ⭕SCIENCE EXPLAINED: Similarly to the dancing foil experiment, this one involves creating your own static electricity. When rubbing balloon and piece of bag, they both get negatively charged.
